WINTER
Maine has four distinctive seasons.  this is a blanket of snow covering the Daylily beds.  These are wild turkeys marching across in winter.
SPRING
The large oak in the center is sending out new growth. The apple tree is beginning to bloom.  A new daylily bed has just been planted and we have a few annuals in the small greenhouse to the right.
SUMMER
Daylilies just starting to open.  this is a photo of our display garden.  there are shrubs, hosta, daylilies and many other perennial flowers.
FALL
This is October in Maine.  The leaves are beautiful on the trees and will soon fall.  we are getting ready for a cold winter.  We really work this tractor.
This photo depicts how our raised beds are laid out.  Our ground is so rocky we grow on the top.  first the railroad ties are placed.  Next we use a garden fabric to keep the sod down and then fill with compost material.
We provide a shelter from the sun especially for groups that visit. This picture was of a garden club who had their monthly meeting at our garden site.
THREE SISTERS
How they love their daylilies.  They study web sites and catalogs through the winter and come with their list in had in the Spring and Summer.  I dig the plants and place in plastic bags for transporting home.
First year blooms.  These plants were put in the ground in May and bloomed the same year in July.  I couldn't resist this photo.  So few buds on these new plants and all open on the same day.
FULL BLOOM
This picture was taken early July.  These are three of thirteen raised beds.
GARDEN THREE
All gardens have a marker with a number so you can find the plants from the price list.  Every variety is listed with a description and location in the garden.
Hererocallis "South-Seas".
